OMG! I loved this book so much! eek!
This was a perfect combination of humour, laughter, optimism, love and oh the romance, it was top of the charts! . I have never read any of Sarah Morgan's books before, when it comes to Chick Lit I tend to stay with my favourite authors and read their latest or any upcoming books, so when I saw this on Netgalley, I just HAD to read this book for 1) look at the beautiful cover, 2) it involves a crime author, do I need to say anymore?
Eva and Lucas are polar opposites but at the same time they both have similar traits. Eva-has very optimistic views, she likes to look at the bright side of things normally, although that changes when her grandmother dies and Eva finds it hard to cope, she gets up everyday does her day to day tasks required from her job but its missing that pure joy, she has a hole in her heart. Paige and Frankie are Eva's best friends as well as her business partners for their company- 'Urban Genie' which is a event and concierge business. Both Paige and Frankie can see that Eva is still upset about her grandmother's death and refuses to talk about it to them since she doesn't want to be a burden upon them. Whilst both of these characters are secondary roles they play a huge part in Eva's romance with Lucas. Now on to Lucas- oh wow he is so dreamy!
Lucas is a crime fictional writer and he is damn well good at it, so good that everyone seems to think he might have some of those tendencies. His ability to delve deeper in to the minds of his character's (especially the murderers) which in turn are some of the most complex yet fascinating characters anyone has ever read (I kind of wish he was real now, I need books like this in reality). His readers always compliment him on the twists that are so unexpected and impossible to anticipate in his books. Lucas is running away or at least he tries to convince himself he is not, he is supposed to be in 'retreat to Vermont' for his writing but he is lying to his grandma to get out of her interfering with his life. I found this really sweet, with his grandma not only does it fill in the void for Eva with her own loss but she helps Lucas to become a better person. Lucas lost his wife three years ago, and in some form he is still not over her, she was the love of his life. I enjoyed finding out how exactly she died and why, as this book repeatedly tells you nothing is ever as it seems and often in life we make things complicated when really they are simple. Lucas and Eva clash at the first meeting and boy do I mean that literally, I also really like the notion of what we think of as flaws someone else taking them as strengths
I loved how at the start of each chapter they used quotes not by famous people but by the characters themselves, this might be a small thing to some but for me I loved these simple stuff which makes the book even more relatable.

The writing style was amazing in this book, I loved how Sarah weaved everything in to this one book. I never wanted this to end. I loved how relatable this is in reality is makes the reader feel more connected to the book and that is exactly what Sarah did with this book. It has both POV from Lucas and Eva, I think it is better when books are like that it makes it easier to know what is going on inside their head, how they feel, what they are thinking but most important of all, the its like the reader is with them the whole way.
Miracle on 5th Avenue is the perfect blend for the upcoming holidays, a nice read to snuggle into by the fire with a hot cup of coco. Also this books makes me hungry whenever I read it, I want to be a good cook like Eva especially with wintery nights upon us.
